This eagerly awaited revelation provided crucial details regarding the electoral process, encompassing dates for filing nominations, polling days, and result declaration for all five states.
The Election Commission convened a vital meeting on Friday, gathering observers to devise strategies aimed at ensuring the smooth conduct of these elections. During this meeting, the EC’s police, general, and expenditure observers collaborated to streamline a comprehensive strategy. The primary objectives of this strategy are to guarantee the effective implementation of the Model Code of Conduct and to prevent the undue influence of money in order to maintain a level playing field for all candidates.
In a statement issued by Chief Election Commissioner of India, Rajiv Kumar, the Election Commission emphasized its commitment to conducting fair and transparent elections in these states. The upcoming assembly elections hold immense significance for the citizens of these regions, and the Election Commission is dedicated to upholding the integrity of the democratic process.
The election in Chhattisgarh will be conducted in two phases, with the first phase scheduled for November 7 and the second phase on November 17. Madhya Pradesh, on the other hand, will witness polling in a single phase, which will coincide with the second-phase voting in Chhattisgarh on November 17.
Rajasthan and Telangana residents will go to the polls in a single phase on November 23 and November 30, respectively. Meanwhile, legislative elections in Madhya Pradesh will be held exclusively on November 17, and Mizoram’s legislative elections are set for November 7.
As the election season gains momentum, citizens and candidates alike eagerly await the chance to exercise their democratic right and shape the future leadership of these states. The Election Commission remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring a fair and transparent electoral process in these five states, upholding the democratic principles that form the foundation of the world’s largest democracy.
